High Speed Doors in Lansford, PA
We repair, adjust and install high speed doors for warehouses, food plants and distribution centers. We find out why your door is stopping, tearing or running slow. Then we put the fix and the cost in writing before we touch it.

When a fast door starts slowing your floor down
A high speed door can cycle dozens of times an hour. It keeps heat in, keeps cold rooms cold and keeps forklifts moving between the dock and the floor. When it acts up, people prop it open or sit and wait on it. Both cost you.
We work on fabric roll-up doors, rigid spiral doors and freezer doors. Most trouble comes from four places: the curtain, the bottom bar, the drive and controls, or the sensors. We check all four, show you what we found and write up the repair with each part and the labor listed. If the door is past saving, we tell you that and explain what a replacement involves.
What the work covers
- Curtain repair and replacement
- Small tears get patched. Bigger damage or worn-out fabric means a new panel, matched to your door's make and guide width.
- Breakaway bottom bar reset
- Many fabric doors are built to knock out when a forklift clips them. We reset the bar, check the guides for bends and replace breakaway parts that no longer hold.
- Motor, drive and controls
- We test the motor, the brake and the variable frequency drive, then reset the open and close limits so the door stops where it should. Fault codes get read and written down, not just cleared.
- Safety sensors and activation
- Photo eyes, light curtains, motion sensors, pull cords and floor loops all get tested and aligned. A door that closes on a pallet or opens for no reason usually traces back here.
- Seals and wind locks
- Side seals, header brushes and wind-lock tabs keep drafts and dust out. Worn seals waste energy every single cycle.
- New door installation
- When a door needs replacing, we measure the opening, go over the options and install the unit, wiring and controls. Larger dock projects are covered under Loading Dock Equipment Installation.
Signs your high speed door needs service
It stops halfway or reverses
A door that quits mid-travel or bounces back up is often a sensor out of line or a limit that has drifted. Left alone, it gets worse.
It runs slower than it used to
Speed loss points to the drive, the brake or a curtain dragging in the guides. A slow door is a door people stop waiting for.
The curtain keeps jumping the guides
If the fabric pops out after every bump, the guides or the breakaway parts are worn or bent.
Drafts, frost or ice on the frame
On freezer doors, ice on the frame usually means a failed heater or a bad seal. Cold Lansford winters show worn seals on any door fast.
Fault codes on the control box
Repeat codes mean something is wrong even if the door still runs. Write the code down before you reset it and give us a call.
Your crew props it open
When staff stop trusting a door, they bypass it. That is a safety problem and an energy problem at the same time.
How a service visit goes
- 1
You tell us about the door
On the phone we ask the make, what it is doing and how busy the opening is. A photo of the nameplate helps if you have it.
- 2
We inspect on site
We cycle the door, test every sensor, read the drive faults and look over the curtain and guides. We take photos of what we find.
- 3
You get a written quote
The quote lists the scope, each part and the labor, plus anything we think can wait. Nothing gets added later without your OK.
- 4
We work around your shifts
We lock out the door, cone off the area and plan the work for slower hours when we can. That keeps downtime short.
- 5
Test and walk-through
We cycle the door with your staff watching, explain any setting changes and clean up before we leave.

What moves the price
We write out the parts, the labor and the items that can wait before any work starts. The price depends on what is actually wrong with your door, not a flat menu. These are the things that make the biggest difference.
- Door type and make
- Fabric roll-up doors, rigid spiral doors and insulated freezer doors use very different parts. Some brands use parts only the factory supplies.
- Which part failed
- Resetting a bottom bar or aligning a photo eye is quick work. A new curtain, motor or drive takes more parts and more time.
- Parts on hand or on order
- Common sensors and seals are easy to get. Drives and custom curtains may need to be ordered, and we tell you the wait up front.
- Access and timing
- Tall openings, freezer rooms and work scheduled outside normal hours all add labor. We spell this out in writing ahead of time so it is no surprise.
- Repair or replace
- On an older door with several worn parts, a new unit can cost less over time. We price both so you can compare.
High speed door questions
Something not covered here? (570) 658-8795
Can you work on a door you didn't install?
Yes. We service doors from most major manufacturers no matter who put them in. If a part only comes from the factory, we tell you the lead time before you approve anything.
A forklift hit our door. Is it ruined?
Often not. Many fabric doors have a breakaway bottom bar built to take a hit and be reset. We check the guides and the curtain for damage, and if more is needed, it goes on the written quote.
Should we repair or replace an older door?
It depends on how many parts are worn and whether parts are still made for it. If one part failed on a solid door, repair makes sense. If the drive, curtain and sensors are all tired, we price a replacement next to the repair so you can decide.
How long will the door be out of service?
Many repairs are done in one visit. If a part has to be ordered, we can often get the door running safely in the meantime and come back to finish. We give you a realistic timeline before you approve the work.
Can high speed doors go on a maintenance schedule?
Yes. Regular checks of the sensors, limits, seals and drive catch problems before the door quits. Our Loading Dock Preventative Maintenance service can cover your fast doors along with your dock levelers and overhead doors.
Will you add work once you start?
No. If we open the door up and find something new, we stop, show you, and revise the quote in writing. You decide before any added work happens.
